Apple gives it’s users Pages for free. Still many people just feel they must have Microsoft Word, even though a few free alternatives exist.

Many of those who want to stick to MS Word are now paying Microsoft $99 a year for Office 365; Really? What a rip off. Imagine, in only five years time that you will have paid Microsoft about $500 just to run Word or Excel and they may even raise that price in the future. Think about 10 years? Do you want to pay Microsoft $1000 just so you can run Word?

Here is a much better deal if you want Office. You can get a Lifetime License for MS Office for Mac or Windows (2021) for $40. A much better deal, via Macworld (deal now expired!)
